Child A.C.T. (Child Abuse Community Training) is dedicated to mobilising communities to protect children. We conduct child abuse training on identifying and reporting abuse, and establish support networks for at-risk children.

A focused initiative driven by the social enterprise

A Better Chance Consulting & Training,

by fostering community vigilance and involvement, Child A.C.T. aims to create a safer environment where every child can thrive through education intervention.

There’s power in education.

Anyone can make a difference.

It takes every member of the community, all stakeholders to ensure that children are safe and free from violence and exploitation.

Child abuse remains a critical concern in Malaysia. In 2023, the Social Welfare Department recorded 4,469 child abuse cases, and by August 2024, an additional 2,240 cases were reported. These incidents encompass physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, with girls constituting over 90% of sexual abuse victims in both years.

The Department of Statistics Malaysia highlighted a 21% increase in sexual assault incidents against children in 2023, totaling 1,567 cases compared to 1,239 in 2022. Additionally, the number of children needing care and protection rose by 26.1%, from 6,770 in 2022 to 8,536 in 2023.

Addressing this issue requires collective community action. Every individual can contribute by recognising signs of abuse, reporting suspicions to authorities, and supporting affected children and families.

Empowering communities, protecting children.

Child A.C.T. empowers communities to transform lives by equipping individuals with knowledge, skills, and tools to recognise, prevent, and respond to child abuse. Through awareness and active engagement, the program builds a network of vigilant, compassionate advocates who work together to protect vulnerable children.
